Day 1

Arrive Srinagar – City Sightseeing

Welcome to Srinagar, The Lake City. On arrival at the Srinagar airport. you will be welcomed & received by GADABOUT Tour and Travels representative/driver. Once you board your vehicle, you will proceed to the hotel. After check in, proceed to sightseeing of Srinagar. Visit the world famous Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh (the garden of pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (abode of love) and the Chasme Shahi Garden along with Shankaracharya Temple. Later in the evening, proceed Overnight stay in Srinagar in a Hotel.

Day 2

Srinagar – Excursion to Sonamarg 

After breakfast, leave for a day excursion to Sonamarg, which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. On the way, you will stop at many beautiful spots. Continue driving to Sonamarg, located at 2,690 Mtrs (Meadow of Gold). Sonmarg is also known as the Gateway to Ladakh. One can ride on a horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier (on Pony), where snow remains round the year. In the evening, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 3

Srinagar to Gulmarg

After breakfast, begin your journey towards Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Kashmir Valley, and is also called the Meadow of Flowers. It has the world’s highest Golf Course (World Highest), and is famous for winter sports like skiing etc. You can enjoy a Gondola ride (Cable car, own cost) from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg. The 08 minutes of ropeway will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Apharwat peak. From here, you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir Valley. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Hotel in Gulmarg.

Day 4

Gulmarg to Pahalgam

After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam. Located at 2,133 mts, it is also known as ‘The valley of Shepherds’ or ‘Trekker’s Paradise’. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Enroute visit Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside, and lots of rice fields. Arrive at Pahalgam and transfer to the hotel. After lunch, depart for an excursion trip to Chandanwari (on your own), the starting point of Amarnath Yatra & Betab valley (on your own). Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed as a major part of the movie was shot here. Post lunch (on your own), or as time permits, proceed for a trip to Aru Valley (on your own). Aru Valley is a tourist spot 11 km from Pahalgam noted for its scenic meadows, and mountains. It is a base camp for trekking to the Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru river, which is a tributary of the Lidder river. Dinner & Overnight stay at the Hotel in Pahalgam.

Note : In Pahalgam outside vehicles are not allowed for sightseeing. Only local taxis can roam around within Pahalgam city. All outside vehicles will pick up & drop from the Hotel.

 

Day 5

Pahalgam – Katra

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Katra, the base point of Vaishno Devi. Arrive at Katra and check into your hotel. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Hotel in Katra.

Day 6

Katra – Vaishno Devi Darshan

Start the 2nd day of your Vaishno Devi tour by having your delicious breakfast, then proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Temple – one of the most popular pilgrimage of India, situated in the lap of Trikuta mountains across Katra town, at an altitude of around 5200 feet. Yatra involves a trek of nearly 14 Kms from base camp at Katra known as Ban Ganga. Alternate way to perform darshans is by battery operated cars, Ponies/Palkis/Helicopter. If time permits, visit Ardhkuwari & Bhairo Temple. Now you can go by ropeway from Vaishno Devi Bhavan to Bhairon temple. After visiting the temples, return back to the hotel in Katra and relax for an overnight stay.

Day 7

Katra-Jammu Drop

Begin the last day of your Divine of Kashmir tour with a delish breakfast in your hotel at Katra. Post breakfast, you will be transferred to the Jammu Airport/ Railway station. Board your flight/train back home with fond memories.
